Breaking Stereotypes With A Manifesto

Humanities is a fantastic world that helps people connect and learn about the world in different ways and from other points of view. The humanities allow us to experience and learn about the world through different types of art. The humanities allow us to understand better languages, literature, art, history, and philosophy. Art is a tool that will enable us to express our thoughts and beliefs through paintings, sculptures, digital art, and music. Most of my posts are characterized by informing and educating people about the importance of breaking stereotypes and beauty standards to have a more open and happier world.

In this part of my manifesto, I want to talk about Floating Woman by Gaston Lachaise and Woman, painted by Willem de Kooning. These beautiful artworks are too strongly connected and have in common that they represent the beauty of women in different ways, using a visual language that allows the viewer to admire the beauty of graphic arts from different dimensions. These two artworks of art teach women the importance of loving and accepting each other. These works remind women how important it is to break stereotypes and forget about beauty standards to find a point where women feel beautiful and self-confident. It is gorgeous how you can learn and experience endless sensations through a sculpture and a painting. The humanities teach us how colors, shapes, tones, and textures come together in a work of art to convey a message to the viewer. For example, the techniques of a painting can greatly influence viewers and their moods. The most beautiful thing about a work of art is that it is open to different interpretations since not everyone sees or interprets the world in the same way.

Art plays a significant role in the world because, thanks to the humanities, we can capture or record moments and teachings of the present that we can show to our future generations. Thanks to art, we can have information through images and videos about the history of the world. Two of my blog posts with the theme of war in common are Migrant Mother and the playlist I posted for the "Your Theme Music" assignment. These two works of art represent how war affects and causes pain to the victims. Wars are the result of selfishness and the ambition of governments to dominate foreign lands. These two works of art raise awareness about the war and all the suffering it has brought to the victims. There is never one side victorious in war since many people die in it.

One of the works of art that I liked the most in this class is the Migrant Mother since this beautiful and strong woman decides to leave the war behind to give her children a better future. This brave and warrior mother represents the thousands of women who fight every day so that their children can have better-living conditions. This woman reminds me of one of the first posts I did in this class, and it is Mysterious Rain Princess, painted by Leonid Afremov. in Mysterious Rain Princes, the painter succeeded in creating a sense of wonder and hope. You can see a strong woman who walks in the rain through this painting, searching for better opportunities. While Mysterious Rain Princes is colorful and Migrant Mother's photo is black and white, both manage to demonstrate how, through different styles, art gives hope and produces admiration regardless of the artist's style.

The humanities make us better people by allowing us to admire the world and learn from it in different types of art. The various branches of the humanities educate and raise awareness about different periods of history. Through the humanities, it is evident that the only thing that makes us equal is that we are different. The meaning of each melody, painting, or photograph depends on who looks at it. Not all of us see, analyze, and enjoy art in the same way. In this class, I learned a lot about the humanities and the revolutionary way art has of expressing social problems through paintings, drawings, and even videos. This class taught me to see and understand works of art more technically and profoundly. The most valuable knowledge I gained from this class is that we are all a work of art, some with different shades, shapes, and colors, but all unique and beautiful.
